Who may attend a TEC weekend?

TEC is open to:

High School students at least 16 years of age who have completed their sophomore year
Young adults in college
Adults who wish to share in the TEC experience

What happens during a TEC weekend?

You will:
Meet new and interesting people
Engage in fun and meaningful group activities
Spend time sharing important topics
Pray and share liturgy
Eat yourself silly (or not)
Have loads of fun
All this and much, much more!!

What is the religious setting of the weekend?

TEC is based in the Roman Catholic Tradition
People of all religious denominations are welcome

When are TEC weekends?

Visit the TEC Dates page for upcoming dates
We begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays
We finish about 4:00 p.m. on Mondays

Where are the weekends held?

TEC of Springfield operates within the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois
Most weekends are held at the Villa Maria Catholic Life Center in Springfield
Occasionally due to scheduling conflicts alternate sites are used (you will be notified)

What is the cost of a TEC weekend?

The cost is $90 per individual.  A $10 non-refundable deposit is due with the application.  (Deposits are deducted from the registration costs when an applicant arrives for a weekend).

What TEC is not!

Not one sermon after another
Not just for Catholics
Not a substitute for a teen's local parish or church
Not an exclusive religious group

How do I get to be on a TEC team?

1.  Attend a TEC weekend as a candidate
2.  Obtain a team application (can be printed from the APPLICATIONS PAGE)
3.  Submit the application to TEC of Springfield
4.  You will be contacted as to your availability.
5.  Enjoy the experience.
